Four friends, one of them a priest, go golfing on a cloudy day. As they near the last hole, rain begins to fall and soon thereafter, they realize from the thunder and flashes overhead that lightning is approaching. So the four friends skip the last hole and start for the club house just as lightning begins to fall all around them. Terrified, three of the friends run for it, leaving the priest behind. As they reach the safety of the clubhouse, they turn and watch the priest calmly walk toward them unscathed through a storm of lightning with a club held high over his head. When the priest walks up to his amazed friends, one says, "Are you crazy? Why were you holding that club over your head in a lightning storm?" The priest responds, "Oh, that was a one-iron. Even God can't hit a one-iron." |
